Adding grammage and stiffness by laminating paperboard expands the creative possibilities of the products. Lamination can be made by gluing two, three or four layers of board together and depending on the choice of board different final properties and applications can be developed. The board can be glued together with either print side or reverse side out and different board grades can be used in the same product.
Laminated products can also be extrusion coated before lamination, which adds on possibilities for the final properties and demands.
Laminated board is typically used in premium packaging for wine and spirits, rigid exclusive packs, gift cards, displays and cutlery.
